On Wednesday June 14, 2017 the Czech Embassy in Helsinki organized a Czech afternoon called "Celebrating Together". The event took place partly in the Eira park close to the Embassy building and it was the contribution of the Czech  Embassy to the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Finland.
The afternoon was opened by the Ambassador I. Jukl.  The Hamina Quartet performed several pieces from the Czech composer A. Dvořák and J. Sibelius. Visitors had the chance to see the sculptures and paintings of the Finnish artist Anssi Uusnäkki which have been exhibited within the Embassy Gallery project. The exhibition will be on display in the park and in the premises of the Embassy until the end of July. Many attendees took the opportunity to take pictures of the Mole (Krtek) and to talk to Czech ice hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hrachovina who won with his club Tappara Tampere the Finnish Championship in 2016 and 2017. Visitors could also admire two ŠKODA cars (Superb and Kodiaq)  in the Embassy garden  which were exhibited by the Finnish importer Škoda Helkama.
