Film Festival "30 Years of Freedom and Democracy"

Film festival "30 Years of Freedom and Democracy" is organized jointly by the Bulgarian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian and Slovak  Embassies. In 6 days you can see 6 films from 6 countries which in some way reflect the time when Europe was divided by the iron curtain. Free entrance. Everybody is welcome.

In connection with the anniversary of the year 1989 organize 6 Embassies in Helsinki (Czechia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania) on 29, 30, 31 October. and the 4th, 6th, and 7th November Film Festival "30 years of freedom and democracy". The film festival was opened at the Czech Embassy on 24 October. The guests of the diplomatic corps had the opportunity to watch 5 short films and taste specialties from the six organizing countries. Jouni Järvinen of Helsinki University presented the events of 1989 and Jarmo Jääskeläinen, a former YLE correspondent, shared memories of his stay in Poland during the 1980s.

Czech film "Wisdom Teeth" will be screened in Eurooppasali at Kamppi from 5 pm on Wednesday 6.11.
