A SHORT GUIDE TO THE HONG-KONG – CZECH REPUBLIC TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Short description of requirements for travelling to the Czech Republic FOR CZECH CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS.

It has come to the attention of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong SAR, that airport authorities and some airlines occasionally do not have accurate information pertaining to conditions of entry of Czech citizens, their family members and residents into the Czech Republic, or to their travel between the Czech Republic and the Hong Kong SAR. To avoid unnecessary troubles, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic  hereinafter clarifies, that:

FROM HONG KONG TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC

As of 13.8. 2021 the Czech citizens, their family members and residents, when travelling to the Czech Republic from Hong Kong SAR must undergo an antigen or PCR test no later than 5 days after arrival. Before entering the Czech Republic, they must fill in an arrival formAccordingly, the print-out of their registration is not required anymore.  Persons returning to the country who have been vaccinated (and the certificate of vaccination is recognized in the Czech Republic - both Hong Kong and Macao certificate are recognized) are exempt from quarantine and testing 14 days after receiving the second shot. Children below the age of 6 years are exempt from the testing and from filling of the arrival form.

 

FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC TO  HONG KONG

Currently (as of  August 13), the Czech Republic falls into the category of medium risk B countries as categorized by the Hong Kong SAR government.  The Hong Kong non-residents who wish to enter HK must be fully vaccinated  and they need to present: a negative result proof of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based nucleic acid test for COVID-19 conducted within 72 hours before the scheduled time of departure of the aircraft to Hong Kong; and

  1.  confirmation in English or Chinese of room reservation in a designated quarantine hotel in Hong Kong for not less than 14 nights starting on the day of the arrival of the relevant traveller in Hong Kong; and
  2.  a vaccination record.

 

Laboratories certified by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic are listed at: https://testovani.uzis.cz and can be cross-checked against the passenger´s certificate.
