Workshop and the Exhibition "1989 - Velvet Revolution" at Lingnan University

Information on events in the framework of celebrations of the 30th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in Hong Kong

on Wednesday, November 5, 2019, a seminar and an exhibition on the Velvet Revolution of 1989 were held at the Lingnan University in Hong Kong. The Consul General Jan Juchelka accompanied by other Czech diplomats attended the seminar at which leading political scientists prof. Kenneth Chan, prof. Stefan Auer and Dr. Petra Guasti presented their papers on developments in Czechoslovakia in 1989, known as the Velvet Revolution. After the seminar, the Consul General,  Head of Department professor Roman David and director of the Goethe-Institut Almuth Meyer-Zollitsch opened exhibitions „1989-Velvet Revolution“ and „Fall of the Berlin Wall“. Attending guests were invited to a small reception with Czech beer and wine on offer. Both exhibitions will be displayed at Lingnan University until November 15, 2019.
