The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, with support of Hong Kong Trade Development Council - HKTDC and Messe Frankfurt) organized a participation of selected Czech companies at one of the most important environmental fairs in the region ECO Expo Asia 2015. The field of environmental protection grows rapidly and matches a mutual interest of both the Czech Republic and Hong Kong. Environmental issues and especially waste management belong to Hong Kong government's priorities as Hong Kong has long been facing a capacity lack of waste processing facilities as well as lack of information and understanding from the side of Hong Kong citizens of a necessity to recycle and dispose of waste in an ecological way.

The Consulate General was present along with two companies from the Czech Republic - Solbien from the City of Ostrava (waste management facilities) and VAPO (pipe stoppers and water management). All the participants had a unique opportunity to establish new links and contacts with potential business partners.
