Labour Migration Quotas

In reaction to the need for providing the workforce for the Czech labour market and in the framework of the development of a more targeted economic migration, the Government of the Czech Republic has decided to introduce quotas for employee card applications and long-term visas for entrepreneurship. The quotas are set by the Government Regulation No. 220/2019 Col. of August 26, 2019 which comes into effect on September 1, 2019.

The main aim of the targeted economic migration concept is to reinforce supply of a qualified workforce from selected countries to the Czech Republic.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Islamabad has been attributed an annual quota of 30 applications for employee cards and 0 applications for long-term visas for entrepreneurship purposes.

Both above-mentioned quotas are unsurpassable, i.e. the Embassy cannot accept more applications than the number set by the Government Regulation.

Both quotas will be evenly distributed in 12 months. Information on appointment for applications submission will be published at these websites soon.
