Travel to the Czech Republic and Free Movement of People Restricted

The state of emergency declared in the Czech Republic on 12 March 2020 and subsequent measures restrict the entry of foreigners to the country and the movement within its territory.

The measures adopted by the government of the Czech Republic to counter the spread of COVID-19 include a ban of entry of all foreigners with the exception of those staying temporarily over 90 days, persons with permanent residence in the Czech Republic, foreign diplomats, citizens of EU and/or neighbouring countries under specific conditions and some other cases.

Free movement of people has been restricted in the Czech Republic with the exception of  travel to work, medical establishments, family and other necessary travels. The restrictions are being released in stages.
