Visa and Consular Services under the Pandemic

The embassy is open for document verification services. Visa processing is restricted to certain visa categories and a limited number of applicants.

The embassy remains open for visa processing and consular services. For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors are asked to adopt measures limiting the spread of the virus. The number of persons allowed to enter the premises simultaneously is limited and visitors are required to wear facemasks, use hand sanitizer, and maintain at least two meters distance.

Visa applications can be submitted at the embassy only, Czech visa processing at VFS/Gerry's Visa Center remains suspended.

Depending on the severity of the pandemic in different countries, the Czech Ministry of Health issues decrees regulating and limiting the entry of foreigners, and the extent to which visa applications can be accepted. Tourist visa are not processed and tourists are currently banned from entering the Czech Republic.

The categories of visa that can be processed at the Czech Embassy in Pakistan are listed in Point III of this article. This includes Schengen visa to visit family members who are EU citizens resident in the Czech Republic, long-term visa for family reunification, and long-term visa/residence permits for students admitted for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies at Czech universities.
