Relations between the Czech Republic and Turkey are traditionally friendly; there are no open political, economic or other problems. Both countries focus on their cooperation within the political, military and economic structures and organizations - NATO, EU and ESDP.

Beginning of the negotiations on the accession of Turkey to the EU has further strengthened and deepened the cooperation and dialog on various political and economic subjects. The membership of both countries in NATO further intensifies the military cooperation.

Both sides hold regular political consultations on the highest level and on the levels of different ministries and parliamentary committees. Various meetings take place also on multilateral forums.
