Scope of consular jurisdiction:

Effective from June 1, 2023, the consular district of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Istanbul is newly formed by the following provinces:

Aydın, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Edirne, Istanbul, lzmir, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Kütahya, Manisa, Muğla, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Uşak and Yalova.

Applicants for short-term Schengen visas can apply through VFS Global at the offices in Istanbul (Beyoğlu) and Izmir.

Opening hours of the Visa and Consular Section:

Monday - Thursday: 9:00 – 12:00, 13:00 – 14:00

Friday: 9:00 – 12:00

 

Applications for short-term (Schengen) visa:

Applications for short-term visa should be submitted to the Visa application centres of the VFS Global  company in Harbiye district (European city part) and Altunizade district (Asian city part). 

Appointment can be scheduled via electronic registration at http://www.vfsglobal.com or via Call Center at number +90 212 373 58 20.

 

Applications for long-term visa and long-term residence permit:

Monday – Thursday, 9:00 – 12:00 at the Consular Section of the Consulate General

 

Delivery of Schengen visa:

Monday – Thursday, 13:00 – 14:00 at the Consular Section of the Consulate General (only for applications submitted directly to the Consulate General)

Monday – Friday, 14:30 – 16:30 at Visa application center (VFS Global)

 

Delivery of long-term visa:

Monday – Thursday, 13.00 – 14.00 at the Consular Section of the Consulate General

Passport and medical insurance required prior to the issuance of visa.

 

Legalisation of documents:

At opening hours of the Consulate General (previous appointment via phone or email is required).

 

Other consular agenda (passport application, passport delivery, registry, citizenship)

Monday – Thursday, 9:00 – 15:00 (by appointment with competent official only)

Friday, 9:00 – 12:00 (by appointment with competent official only)

The school/program has to be accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic otherwise you are not eligible to apply for this type of visa and have to apply for the long- term visa for other purposes. more ►
