Information for submitting an employee card applications and long-term visa applications for the business purpose

The Government of the Czech Republic with effect due September 1, 2019 in the context of the need to ensure manpower for the Czech labor market and the related concept of targeted economic migration decided to introduce quotas for accepting employee card applications and long-term visas for the business purpose by its Government Regulation No. 220/2019 Coll. of 26 August 2019.

 

The main objective of the concept of targeted economic migration is to strengthen the inflow of skilled labor from selected countries to the Czech Republic.

For the Consulate Genera of the Czech Republic in Istanbul was set an annual quota of 300 employee card applications (of which 100 employee card applications are under the Highly Qualified Employee Program and/or the Key and Scientific Personnel Program) and 12 applications for long-term business visas.

Both quotas are strictly limited, i.e. the Consulate may not accept more applications than stipulated by government decree.

Both quotas shall be distributed over 12 months. The method for making appointments for submitting applications is published on the website of the Embassy in Czech and Turkish language version.
