Schengen (short-stay) visa
Important information for visa applicants:
- You can apply for Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic via the external provider VFS Global in Jakarta if your main destination/purpose of stay is (in) the Czech Republic.
- If you visit several countries in the Schengen area with the same purpose of stay, you can apply for Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic via VFS Global if you stay for the longest period in the Czech Republic.
- If you visit several countries in the Schengen area in the same period for each country with the same purpose of stay, you can apply for the Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic via VFS Global if the Czech Republic is the first Schengen state to enter.
- Every application has to be submitted by the applicant in person and only at the Embassy in Jakarta.
- All submitted documents have to be in its original form and copies, in order for the visa office to check their authenticity.
- Visa fee is paid when the application is submitted and it is non-refundable.
- The fee is payable in Indonesian rupiah only and subject to change depending on EUR-IDR exchange rate.
- Applicants under six years of age are excluded from the visa fee.
- The usual processing period of an application is five working days, but can last up to the maximum of 15 days.
- The Embassy does not have any influence on the length of the processing period and cannot change once requested visa validity either.
- Copy of the applicant´s Passport (the data page) has to be submitted.
- If any type of Schengen visa has been issued to the applicant during the past three years, a copy of the visa has to be submitted as well.

In case the visa application is refused, the Embassy will notify the applicant in writing of the grounds for the refusal of his/her visa application in accordance with the EU Visa Code.

Based on bilateral arrangements, the following Embassies are authorised to receive applications and to issue Schengen visas on behalf of the Czech Republic:
Timor-Leste - the Czech Republic is represented in visa matters by the Embassy of Portugal (DOC, 26 KB)
Brunei Darussalam - the Czech Republic is not represented in visa matters
