Indonesia Acceds to the Hague Apostille Convention

As the Republic of Indonesia acceded to the Hague Apostille Convention, the legalization of Indonesian public documents is now significantly simplified. Apostille represents a simplified form of legalisation which allows to use the Indonesian public documents in the Czech Republic.

Thus, coming into force from June 4, 2022, all public documents issued by local Indonesian authorities shall be apostilled by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia in order to be acceptable in the Czech Republic.

The obligation for the additional verification by the Embassy (superlegalization) is not valid anymore.

With regard to the above, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Jakarta is no longer entitled to superlegalize Indonesian documents.
