Czech Higher Education Popular with Indonesian Students

Over 300 visitors came to the Embassy booth at the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) in Jakarta to ask about Czech universities and visa matters.

The Czech Embassy together with two Czech higher education institutions, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University and Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University promoted studying in the Czech Republic at the biggest European higher education fair in Indonesia, held on 8-9 November at Balai Kartini hall in Jakarta.  The Embassy represented more than ten prominent universities, both public and private, that offer programs for international students.

Indonesian visitors have shown they were eager to study in the heart of Europe with affordable tuition fee and living cost. Their interest to learn and know more about the Czech Republic was manifested by joining in the “Czech University Trivia Quiz” to win interesting books about Prague and posters of Czech landscapes. They also subscribed to the Embassy mailing list to get more information about studying in the Czech Republic.

Students from Surabaya and East Java can meet Charles University and Czech Technical University representatives at a following event of EHEF in Surabaya on 11th November 2014, from 14.00 to 19.00, at Grand City Ballroom.
