The concerts of Mr. Svěcený and Mr. Klaus in Indonesia

The three concerts of famous Czech violinist Mr. Jaroslav Svěcený and guitarist Mr. Miloslav Klaus were held in Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali) on 4th, 5th and 9th May 2017. The concerts, that were part of the celebration of EU Month, were warmly welcomed by public including members of diplomatic corps and public officials of the Republic of Indonesia.

The main concert took part in Mandarin Oriental Hotel Jakarta on 4th May 2017 and was visited by 300 guests. Besides of the Czech national holiday, the concert was dedicated to 60th anniversary of Treaty of Rome. The “Galaconcert for Ten Strings” introduced the works of N. Paganini (in adaption for violin and guitar), J. S. Bach and also the Czech maestros such as B. Smetana or J. Svěcený (Paganiniada II). During the concert the foundation of Ms. P. Němcová Happy Heart Foundation and photo exhibition “Indonesia through the eyes of the Czechs” and association “Yayasan Bohemindo” were also introduced.

The Czechs artists performed next day in Phili Kotler Theatre. The concert was co-organized by Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic Mr. H. Kartajaya. The performance was visited also by son of Indonesian President Mr. G. Rakabuming.

The final concert was held in Mővenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran, Bali on 9th May 2017 and was co-organized by the hotel and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic Mr. G. James. The honorary consuls of other foreign countries, as well as the representatives of the local government were among the guests.
