The Czech Violin Maestro Jaroslav Svěcený in Indonesia

Three concerts of the famous Czech violin maestro Jaroslav Svěcený took place between 11th and 15th May, 2016 in Indonesia.
 

In the framework of the Month of Europe and in commemoration of the 700th anniversary of birth of the biggest Czech and great European sovereign Charles IV, Mr. Svěcený, accompanied by accordionist Mr. Ladislav Horák, performed the recital “In the Sign of Tango!” in the hotel Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta on May 11. The guests had the opportunity to see the exhibition “Emperor of Four Thrones” dedicated to the king Charles IV.

The same repertoire was introduced also to the audience in Yogyakarta on May 13. Besides the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. I. Hotěk and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic Mr. H. Kartajaya, the Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X took part in this event.

Mr. Svěcený nad Mr. Horák also performed a few song from their repertoire in the framework of High Tea. The event was organized by wife of the Czech Ambassador Mrs. J. Hoťková for members of Women's International Club (WIC) Jakarta.
