Claudia Castiglioni lectured on current developments in Iran

 

The history of Iran's nuclear program, its standing in the international community, stability in the region and possible development scenarios were all topics on which Claudia Castiglioni from the Florence University lectured for Czech diplomats..


 

March 23, 2015 Mrs. Claudia Castiglioni from the Florence University accepted an invitation from the Department of Education and the Diplomatic Academy to give a lecture. Czech diplomats shared their view on the subject of Iran in an international context - past, present and possible future developments.

Mrs Castiglioni also dealt with the history of Iran's nuclear program, improving the economic situation as a priority, the role of the current president, negotiations on the nuclear program, Iran's standing in the international community, Iran’s role in the region and its fight against terrorism.

Professor Castiglioni in her profession focuses on the US role in the Middle East and Iran in the economic and political context. These topics are taught in the USA, at the London School of Economics, Florence, Venice and Paris. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Economics in Prague. Thirty Czech, foreign diplomats and civil servants attended her lecture.
