DA Students met the Ambassador of the United Kingdom

On the 12th of January, the Director of the Diplomatic Academy Věra Jeřábková and junior diplomatic students accepted an invitation for afternoon tea at the residence of British Ambassador, H. E. Jan Thompson.
During a friendly meeting over tea, the Ambassador was told about the Czech diplomatic training and offered an interesting comparison with her own experience and the practice of British Foreign Service in general. Given her previous career achievements, she also discussed the specifics of diplomatic work in today’s high-risk regions.
The Diplomatic Academy students were interested in the work of the British Embassy and the different ways which they promote British interests in the Czech Republic. Her Excellency also told the students about her experience with an open day event at the Embassy, located under the Prague Castle.
