On 3 and 4 March 2014, the students of the junior diplomatic training programme defended their theses. Topics of their thesis are focused on current problems and are submitted by MFA departments. This year, some of the topics related to the impact of the entry of the Russian Federation to the World Trade Organization on bilateral Czech - Russia relationship and building an effective model of Czech economic diplomacy.

During the final defense, students are evaluated on their ability to analyze the topic in written form, demonstrate expertise and skill during an oral, PowerPoint presentation.

By defending their final theses, the junior diplomats completed the theoretical component of the studies at the Diplomatic Academy. From mid-March they will have a month internship in a Czech export company, followed by two-month internships at an Embassy of the Czech Republic and an internship at the MFA departments.
