China’s economic and trade cooperation by Liu Xinying from Shandong University

As a part of its economic education programme, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a lecture on “Possible Sino-China Economic and Trade Cooperation for Czech Diplomats”. The lecture was given by Liu Xinying from the Shandong University of Finance and Economics on April 29, 2013.

Liu Xinying, a visiting professor of the Shandong University of Finance and Economics, shared her view of the Chinese economy and its possible future scenarios with Czech diplomats.

According to Professor Liu, the Czech Republic ranked second in the total trade volume with China among the twelve new members of the EU at the end of 2012 and its export to China increased by 3.8 per cent in 2012.

According to China’s Business Journal, the Czech Republic will start introducing its food products into China’s market. For the rest, the product structure will concentrate (70 per cent) on mechanicals, car parts, capacitors, integrated circuits and glass. Other items such as pesticide-free non-chemical fertilizers and agricultural products have a promising future in China as well.
