MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OFFERED A CYCLE OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION TRAINING

 

A cycle of courses focused on communication in an international environment was organized by the Training Department and Diplomatic Academy in March 2015. The six parts were attended by numerous candidates.

 

The Department of Education and the Diplomatic Academy organized in March and April 2015 a series of six courses on communication in an international environment. This project, held at the Foreign Ministry for the second time, aims to primarily prepare Czech diplomats and candidates for civilian missions in the international community to recognize and understand differences in communication and negotiation in different parts of the world. In addition, the project should have helped workers within the international union of government institutions to prepare for foreign visitors to the Czech Republic as well as planned visits of our state officials abroad.

 

Four of the courses were focused on regional differences – Asia, Latin America, Africa and Middle East. Another part was devoted to Russia, led by a French expert on intercultural communication at to the Moscow Plekhanov University, Jerome Dumetze. The final course, intercultural communication with China, was delivered by a leading Czech expert on the subject – Martin Kříž.
