THE LECTURE ON DIPLOMATIC PROTOCOL ATTRACTED 200 VISITORS

The traditional autumn lecture on diplomatic protocol, privileges and immunities took place in Czernin Palace.
On 18th November 2014 the Diplomatic Academy has held its traditional lecture on diplomatic protocol, privileges and immunities. The lecture was led by the directress of the Diplomatic protocol department, Markéta Šarbochová and her deputy Jan Čížek. Among the invited guests were both diplomats and the deputies of foreign embassies as well as state officers. The Great hall was filled with almost 200 visitors for this important subject.
The main topics were practical issues connected with the preparation of foreign visits and its receiving, social events, the rules of exchanging gifts or raising national flags. The attendees also had an opportunity to learn about the fundamental provisions of The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, diplomatic passports, diplomatic deeds and securing the premises.
