Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa opened an economic training course

 

On February 9th 2015 Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa opened the fourth annual course of economic training at Czernin Palace. The course is designed for junior diplomats and their colleagues who are preparing for the position of economic diplomats abroad.

 

Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa in his opening remarks stressed the importance of economic education as an integral part of the overall preparation of Czech diplomats at the Foreign Service. He also appreciated the role of the University of Economics in Prague, with which the Foreign Ministry cooperates. He also mentioned that they have managed to create a shared project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade and CzechTrade which will cooperate even more closely on education within the Economic Agenda.

After the opening speech, the Director of Education and the Diplomatic Academy, Věra Jeřábková, and the rector of the University of Economics, Hana Machková, gave a joint lecture on International Business

Business education courses started in 2012. It is a complete educational program offered by the Educational Department of the Diplomatic Academy and the economic section. The aim of the course is to help diplomats gain knowledge in all aspects of functioning economic diplomacy. This year the course was also open to candidates from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and CzechTrade.
