College d´Europe prepares Czech public servants for negotiations in the European Union

In Cernin palace a two-day negotiation simulation in the European Union was organised for state administrative officers. The project was prepared by the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the College d´Europe. The training was mainly financed by the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).
On 13th and 14th of October 2014 a simulation of negotiation within the European Union took place. Fifteen Czech public servants, who take part in negotiations at in various levels of European institutions in their professional careers, had the chance to gain theoretical knowledge and also to improve their practical negotiation skills.
The project of simulation training was prepared by the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the prestigious College d´Europe and with the main financial sponsor, the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) from the National programme of French education for the Czech Republic´s civil service.
OIF´s programme is mainly aimed at improving one’s ability to use French during international negotiations. To date this year, three activities have been carried out – in the first half-year was a two-day simulation of multilateral negotiation and lectures on migration. At the end of October was a lecture focused on economic diplomacy. In addition to these projects, public servants have the chance to attend French lectures with financial support from the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).
