STARTING THE DIPLOMATIC MINIMUM FOR EMPOLYEES FROM THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE

One of the pillars of the interdepartmental Joint Service Agreement, which was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Industry and Trade, concerned common education of employees of both ministries in economic issues. The Diplomatic Minimum, as the training initiative is called, was initiated mid-October at the Diplomatic Academy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the middle of October 2014, the Diplomatic Academy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs initiated an educational program for employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, under the name, the Diplomatic Minimum.

This project is one of the pillars of the Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding joint services in economic diplomacy.

In the following year, the employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade are going to extend their knowledge at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concerning topics that are related to the performance of foreign services of the Czech Republic. For example, they will participate in trainings concerning diplomatic protocol, soft skills, media practice, as well as issues of the European Union and law.

In the next few years, successful Diplomatic Minimum graduates should be able to apply for selection procedures to positions abroad such as economic executives at selected diplomatic corps of the Czech Republic.
