Capacity building of the civil society in the field of women rights protection, 2013



The project intended to contribute to achieving the highest standards of protection against domestic violence, focusing on improving the quality of services provided by legal counseling centers and regional networking organization associating NGOs providing services to victims. Due to the fact that on the Georgian side there is a strong partner in the field of drafting legislation involved, with support of advocacy and lobbying activities from the Czech side the creation of standards institutionalizing model of protection of victims of domestic violence into the current legal framework in the country is being reinforced. The core was transferring the experience of experts from the Czech Republic, both in the field of legal counseling to victims of domestic violence, as well as in the broader context of assistance, in particular of a multidisciplinary approach involving all elements linked to solving particular cases (social workers, psychologists, lawyers, police), including the participation of all stakeholders (victim, perpetrator, family members).
