Director Válek Spoke at the 58th Session of AALCO in Dar es Salaam

Mr. Petr Válek, Director of the International Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, was invited - as the Chair of the Council of Europe Committee of Legal Advisers on Public International Law (CAHDI) - to deliver a statement at the 58th Annual Session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) in Dar es Salaam on "Multilateralism and the International Legal Order Based on International Law."

In his statement, made on October 22, 2019, Mr. Válek focused on CAHDI's activities in this area. The AALCO is an international expert organization with its seat in New Delhi, currently composed of 48 member States from Asia and Africa. The above-stated Session of AALCO further deals, inter alia, with sanctions, latest report of the International Law Commission, international law in cyberspace, law of the sea and the question of Palestine.
