Discussion forum in the framework of the Czech-French Strategic Day

Following the meeting of Deputy Minister for Security and Multilateral Affairs Ivo Šrámek with his French counterpart Nicolas de Rivière, a discussion forum was held in Paris on October 12, 2017 as part of the Czech-French Strategic Day. In addition to representatives of both ministries, invitations were extended to Czech and French experts from universities and research institutions.

In addition to representatives of both ministries, invitations were extended to Czech and French experts from universities and research institutions.

The forum, organized under the auspices of the Political Planning Department of the Czech MFS and the Analytical, Prognostic and Strategic Center (CAPS) of the French MFA, dealt with the “Added value of the EU in managing international crises”. The debate focused on two strategic concepts in EU external action set out in the 2016 EU Global Strategy: the strategic autonomy of the European Union and the resilience of states and societies in the European Neighborhood.
