Entry of UK citizens who study or work in CZ or have application for temporary/permanent residence pending

Citizens of the United Kingdom who before December 31, 2020: 1) filed application for temporary or permanent residence, 2) studied at a university in the Czech Republic or 3) worked in the Czech Republic and who are not holders of a temporary residence certificate or a permanent residence permit yet, can enter the Czech Republic visa-free if equipped with a confirmation for entry issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The confirmation will be issued for one month and will allow its holder to enter the Czech Republic only once, provided no impediments to entry or stay are established upon entry. The confirmation will allow its holder to enter the Czech Republic and collect the temporary residence certificate or the permanent residence permit. The confirmation will not entitle its holder to enter the Czech Republic repeatedly.

KINDLY FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. SEND AN E-MAIL to vo3@mzv.cz, containing the following (depending on situation):

● proof that you have submitted an application for a temporary residence certificate or a permanent residence permit OR proof of study at a university in the Czech Republic OR employment confirmation (employment contract, confirmation from the employer etc.)

● filled-out Affidavit (DOCX, 13 KB) whereby you declare that you have resided in the Czech Republic for the purpose of study or employment before December 31,2020

2. AWAIT A REPLY.

Persons who submit the required documents will receive the confirmation in most cases in up to one week.

3. SUBMIT THE CONFIRMATION UPON ARRIVAL TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC DURING PASSPORT CONTROL.

The confirmation does not guarantee passage in transit – transit conditions must be verified with the respective authority of the state through which the transit will take place and with the transportation carrier.

4. PRESENT A NEGATIVE ANTIGEN OR RT-PCR TEST issued by a certified British laboratory that is not older than 72 hours upon embarkment.

5. OBSERVE QUARANTINE MEASURES

as stipulated in the Protective Measure of the Ministry of Health. You are especially required to fill out a form (www.prijezdovyformular.cz) before travelling and get tested for COVID-19 (RT-PCR test), not earlier than on the fifth day after arrival.
