New visa application centre opened in Durban and Johannesburg (South Africa)

The new Visa Application Centres (VAC) will enable South Africa nationals to apply for their short-term visa to the Czech Republic/Schengen territory in Durban and Johannnesburg.

The opening of the visa center is part of an effort driven by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Czech Embassy in South Africa to reach out to more visitors from South Africa. The Czech Republic now has a total of four visa centers throughout South Africa in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria,  each operated by VFS Global.

Notice: The VACs are set up solely to provide visa application administrative support and are optional to submit your application. The VAC has no decision making authority to issue or refuse a visa or a permit. VAC staff has no influence over the outcome of the application and should not be solicited for advice. All applications will be assessed by the officers of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria in accordance with the EU visa rules and guidelines. The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by the immigration officers at the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
