Long-Term Visa, Long-Term Residence Permit, Permanent Residence Permit
When lodging a long-term visa, long-term residence permit or permanent residence permit application, the so-called territorial consular competence rule applies.
This means that application can be lodged at the consulate with the territorial consular competence for a STATE:
1) OF WHICH THE APPLICANT IS A CITIZEN,
2) IN WHICH THE APPLICANT RESIDES ON A LONG-TERM / PERMANENT BASIS FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS,
3) WHICH ISSUED THE APPLICANT´S PASSPORT.
CITIZENS OF THE FOLLOWING STATES ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS RULE:

Citizens of these states can lodge their applications for long-term visas, long-term residence permits and permanent residence permits at any diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic – the territorial consular competence rule does not apply to them.
