APPLICANTS FILE THEIR APPLICATIONS IN STATES WHERE THEY HOLD CITIZENSHIP OR RESIDENCY.

-If there is no diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic in this state, the application should be filed at a diplomatic mission which is accredited for that state (usually in a neighboring state) or at a diplomatic mission of another Schengen Area state which represents the Czech Republic in this state.

-If there are several diplomatic missions of the Czech Republic in one state (for example an Embassy and Consulate(s) General), the applicant should file the application at the diplomatic mission in the consular district where he/she resides.

APPLICANTS FILE THEIR APPLICATIONS AT THAT SCHENGEN CONSULATE THAT IS THE ONLY OR THE MAIN DESTINATION OF THE TRIP.

JOURNEY TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC ONLY: If the Czech Republic constitutes the sole or the main destination of the visit, the application should be filed at a diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic.

JOURNEY TO SEVERAL SCHENGEN STATES: 1) When travelling to several Schengen Area states, the application should be filed at a consulate of that Schengen Area state, which constituted the main destination of the visit in terms of purpose of stay or length of stay. 2) If no main destination can be determined, the application should be filed at a consulate of that Schengen Area state, whose external border the applicant will cross to enter the Schengen Area.
