Colloquium 50 years of Independence in Africa

Colloquium '50 years of Independence in Africa: A Road to Development and Democracy?' will be held on Monday, 24th of May, 2010 at 10.00 at the United Nations House Prague under the auspices of H. E. Jan Kohout, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The event is co-organized by UN Information Center in Prague, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Institute of Etnology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University and Humanitas Africa. The keynote speaker will be H. E. Cheick Sidi Diarra who currently serves as the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on Africa and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.
