Werner Hoyer participated in consultations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Vladimír Galuška. The talks were focused on EU issues, including Schengen area enlargement and relations with Western Balkan countries.

Vladimír Galuška and Werner Hoyer met chairmen of the Czech-German Commission of Historians which was helding a meeting in Liberec. The Commission commemorates its 20th anniversary this year. Vladimír Galuška and Werner Hoyer positively evaluate work of both platforms and supported their future activities. Representatives of the Czech-German Fund for the Future attended the meeting with both diplomats and were appreciated for their previous deeds contributing to good Czech-German relations.
