Minister Schwarzenberg met Secretary of State for European Affairs of France Pierre Lellouche

 

First Deputy Prime Minister and MInister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg met Secretary of State for European Affairs of France Pierre Lellouche. Both representatives discussed current European issues and bilateral cooperation. The meeting was focused on the forthcoming European Council issues, especially economic coordination in the EU too.

Karel Schwarzenberg a Pierre LelloucheMinister Schwarzenberg and Secretary Lellouche discussed preparation of the EU financial framework 2014 - 2020 and joint strategy of the EU member countries in energy issues. Energy cooperation is an important point of bilateral relations of both countries. Karel Schwarzenberg and Pierre Lellouche agreed on founding of joint working group for energy policy, including energy security and nuclear energetics cooperation. France considers the Czech Republic to be an important partner in energy issues.

In Prague Pierre Lellouche met Minister of Defence Alexandr Vondra, Chairperson of the Committee on European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Bauer, Chairperson of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Luděk Sefzig and Government representative for the finishing of the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant and Ambassador at large for energy Václav Bartuška. Pierre Lellouche attended a lunch with members of the French-Czech Chamber of Commerce and met French expatriates in the Czech Republic.
