Prague Enlargement Dialogue Conference

On 22 October 2012 the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg opened „The Prague Enlargement Dialogue“ conference, that was hold in the Czernin Palace.

Speakers included the European Commissioner Štefan Füle, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Vesna Pusić and the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Suzana Grubješić, as well as officials of the European Commission, Austria, Germany, and business representatives from Turkey and the Czech Republic.

The main goal of the event was to evaluate the perspective of the EU enlargement within the current strategic debate on the EU future. General and political aspects of enlargement process was the main subject of the first panel. The second panel focused on the enlargement policy as a policy with a positive pro-growth impact through continuous extention of the internal market rules and creation of new business opportunities.

The event was conducted in English.
