Deputy Minister Schneider meets EU Special Representative for Central Asia

Date: 04.06.2013 , Venue: Prague, Czernin Palace

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and State Secretary for EU Affairs Jiří Schneider will meet EU Special Representative Patricia Flor on May 4, 2013.

The topics of the discussion will be EU cooperation in Central Asia, energy policy and regional security.

EU Special Representatives (EUSR) are a unique tool of EU external relations and they answer directly to the EU member states. While a head of EU delegation is responsible for external relations with a single country, EUSR deals with specific issues, conflict areas or whole regions. Patricia Flor was appointed Special Representative for the period from July 2012 until June 2013. Her mandate is to promote good relations between EU and Central Asia countries, strengthen the stability in the region and to develop democracy and human rights.
