Minister Kohout opened the 21st OSCE Forum

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Kohout opened the 21st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum on 5 September, 2013.
The opening speeches were held by Leonid Kozhara, Foreign Minister of Ukraine and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, and Lamberto Zannier, Secretary General of the OSCE. Keynote messages by Sven Alkalaj, Executive Secretary of the UNECE and Fabrizio Barbaso, Deputy Director for Energy, European Commission/DG Energy.
Proposals and recommendations were made which aim to reduce the environmental footprint of energy production, transportation and consumption in the OSCE region.
The meeting built on the results of two preparatory meetings held in Vienna and Kyiv in February and April, 2013.
The 21th OSCE EEF was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the OSCE Secretariat and the Prague Office.
