The meeting was focused on the issues of disarmament and non-proliferation, review process of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, preparations for the Conference on the Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone in the Middle East, as well as the Czech Republic’s involvement in the activities of disarmament forums. Ms Kane appreciated continuous support provided by the Czech Republic to the UN in the implementation of its mandate in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation.

During her official visit to the Czech Republic, Ms Kane also participated in the conference Towards a Nuclear Weapon Free World in the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
