Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek, his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the former German Minister of Foreign Affairs Hans-Dietrich Genscher remembered the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the exodus of East German citizens to the West via the Embassy of the former West Germany in Prague on September 30, 2014.
During the ceremony, all three ministers adressed the audience from the balcony from which Minister Genscher in 1989 announced to the refugees that they would be able to travel to West Germany.
During the bilateral consultations, Ministers Zaoralek and Steinmeier discussed the opportunities of further development of the Czech-German strategic dialogue, contemporary affairs in the European Union and as well as current foreign policy topics.
