Minister Zaorálek at a Conference on Syria in Berlin

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek will attend a conference on Syrian refugee crisis on October 28, 2014 in Berlin. The conference focuses on support of Syrian refugees and neighboring countries which offer a temporary shelter for Syrian citizens in need.
In relation to the conflict in Syria, the Czech Republic provides continuous assistance funded by the humanitarian budget of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The assistance is realized both by Czech nongovernmental organizations in cooperation with local partners and international organizations (e.g. International Committee of the Red Cross and UN High Commissioner for Refugees). Czech embassies in Jordan and Lebanon participate in realization of small-scale local projects to support education systems and capacity of facilities for refugees.
