Statement on the bomb attacks in Ankara

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic strongly condemns today’s bomb attack against a demonstration of peace activists in Ankara, during which around 90 people have been killed and more than 180 injured. Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects any attacks against civilian population, whoever commited them.
This attack must not disturb the current election process and put the democratic base of Turkey into jeopardy.
We believe that the Turkish authorities will adopt all necessary measures leading to the detention of the perpetrators of this act and that they will be brought to justice.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishes soon recovery to those who were injured.
