Minister Zaorálek with Ambassadors of Arab Countries

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek attended on November 10, 2015 a lunch with ambassadors of the Arab countries accredited in the Czech Republic. It was organized by the Doyen of the Arab group Ambassador of the State of Kuwait H. E. Ayman Al-Adssani and hosted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H. E. Abdullah Al Alsheikh at his residence.

Minister Zaorálek explained to the ambassadors present Czech Republic’s view of recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa region, its impact on the EU including the problem of migration and the principles of Czech policy towards the region. He shared with them the information concerning preparations of the international conference on intercultural and interreligious dialogue which will be held in Prague 2016 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries accredited in Prague and Czech Academy of Sciences. He welcomed the Muslim countries initiative to organize an Islamic art exhibition in Prague April 21 through May 20 2016. He also welcomed the establishment of new resident embassies of the United Arab Emirates and Sudan in Prague. It reflects the increased interest of Arab countries in contacts with Czech Republic.
