Deputy Minister Smolek met Deputy Governor of the Sichuan Province

Deputy Minister Martin Smolek met Mr Liu Jie, Deputy Governor of Sichuan, on Thursday February 25, 2016. The meeting was held in the premises of Prague´s Václav Havel Airport on the occasion of the arrival of the first direct flight between Chengdu (Sichuan provincial capital) and Prague.
The talk was about the future of the Czech-Chinese economic cooperation at regional level but also in aviation industry. The partners also touched upon the functioning of the newly established Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chengdu.
Introduction of a direct flight from Western China to the heart of Central Europe will facilitate further exchanges between the Czech Republic and The People´s Republic of China, mainly in tourism, education, trade and culture.
