Deputy Minister Tlapa Met His Chinese Counterpart

 

Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa met Liu Haixing, Assistant Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, in the Czernin Palace on March 11, 2016.
 

This year’s consultations were focused on the preparation of the forthcoming state visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China to the Czech Republic, including the joint statement on the establishment of the strategic partnership between both countries.

Both partners discussed opportunities to further strengthen and enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, not only at bilateral level but also within the EU-China Strategic Partnership as well as within the platform 16+1 (bilateral interactions of 16 countries of Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe with China). “The Czech side is interested in strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the aviation industry, financial services and logistics, also with reference to the Belt and Road initiative,” underlined Deputy Minister Tlapa.

The partners also exchanged views on situation in their countries as well as on a number of current regional and global issues.

Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing also paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek.
