Minister Zaorálek at Africa Day Celebrations

Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomír Zaorálek participated in the International Africa Day celebrations held in in the gardens of the Czernin Palace on May 25, 2016. The International Africa Day event is perceived as a celebration of a both unity and diversity of the African continent. The event was organized under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs by ten Diplomatic Missions of African states residing in Prague.
Together with Minister Zaorálek the main speech was held by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco Mrs. Souriya Otmani (the speeches are attached) in the capacity of the Dean of the diplomatic missions of African states in the Czech Republic.
International Africa Day is the annual commemoration of founding of the Organisation of African Unity on May 25, 1963, the predecessor of the African Union.
