Deputy Minister Tlapa held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya Amina Mohammed

 

At the international conference of UNCTAD 14 in Nairobi on 19 July 2016, the Deputy Minister Martin Tlapa held a bilateral meeting with Kenyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Amina Mohamed. The meeting took place as a follow-up to the visit of the Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek in Kenya in May 2015.

Both sides identified the current opportunities for further development of bilateral relations with emphasis on cooperation in economic and trade areas. Minister Amina. J. Mohamed confirmed interest in the economic potential and quality of the Czech industry, including innovations, for the further development of the economy of Kenya. The both sides spoke also in favor of launching a regular political dialogue. 

The exchange of views took place on current political events in the European Union and the African Union, as well as the security situation in Europe and in the wider Horn of Africa region. 

Minister Amina Mohamed confirmed her interest in visiting the Czech Republic on the basis of the invitation extended by the Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaorálek.
