Deputy Foreign Minister Václav Kolaja at a Parliamentary Visegrad Group Meeting in Velehrad

Deputy Foreign Minister Václav Kolaja delivered a keynote speech at a Visegrad Group meeting in Velehrad. The meeting, which was held on 2–4 October 2016, gathered members of EU Affairs Committees of all four Visegrad countries.
Both Deputy Foreign Minister Kolaja and State Secretary for European Affairs Tomáš Prouza delivered an address on the subject of Brexit and its possible implications for the Visegrad Group countries within the EU. Other keynote speakers included Ministry of Interior Director Tomáš Haišman, who discussed migration and the proposed reform of the Common European Asylum System, and MEP Martina Dlabajová. In conclusion to the three-day meeting, the Visegrad Group parliamentarians adopted a document outlining their agreed positions on Brexit and migration.
