Deputy Minister Kaucký Held Political Consultations with Mexico

The Czernin Palace hosted political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Mexico on October 7, 2016. The talks were held at the level of the Deputy Minister Lukáš Kaucký and his Mexican counterpart Francisco del Río, Director General for Europe of the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.

The consultations focused mainly on the issues of strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation between both countries and ways of maintaining the current dynamic of bilateral trade, with Mexico being the first most important trade partner in Latin America of the Czech Republic.

The talks offered an opportunity to evaluate bilateral relations, which both countries consider successful. The delegations also discussed other multilateral policies including the reform of the United Nations Security Council and current regional issues in Latin America and Europe.
