Deputy Minister Kulhanek at Bilateral Security Consultations in Vilnius

 

On February 25 - 26, Deputy Minister for Security and Multilateral Issues Jakub Kulhanek held bilateral security consultations in Lithuania with the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas and with  the Defence Policy Director at the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Vaidotas Urbelis.

The Czech-Lithuanian political consultations focused on contemporary security policy issues, policy towards Russia, migration, cooperation wtihin NATO and EU and  preparations for the Warsaw NATO Summit. Both countries presented similar view to most of these issues. The consultations concluded that it was necessary to cooperate to implement assurance measures agreed upon at NATO's Summit in Wales in August 2014.

Partners also discussed the upcoming visit of Minister Lubomir Zaorálek in Lithuania (March 10, 2016) and the visit of Lithuanian Prime Minister to the Czech Republic in May.
